Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles was named the keynote speaker of the International Women & Money Leadership luncheon in Houston,Texas, MadameNoire reports.

As the keynote speaker, Knowles shared her story of struggling with low self-esteem after divorcing Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles and later finding love again at the age of 60.

Knowles explained that her marriage to Mathew Knowles had been "tumultuous" since Beyonce was a little girl and before she gave birth to Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles.

Although Knowles decided to tune out her failing marriage by keeping busy and focusing her energy on beauty school and Destiny's Child, the fruits of her labor were still not enough to keep her marriage going.

Knowles explained that the realization that her marriage was doomed to end brought on a feeling of low self esteem.

"[Divorce] does something to your whole self-esteem and psyche, because I had been married for 33 years..." she explained. "... when something strikes you like that, it takes the breath out of you. But my fight came back. I let myself feel sorry for myself for a minute and then I said, 'you know, I'm so blessed to have all the opportunities that I have. And I don't have the right to feel sorry.'"

Knowles' resilient attitude towards her struggles eventually led her to find love again at the age of 60. Knowles' new love is now "All My Children" and "Dynasty" actor Richard Lawson whom she knew for 33 years prior to their dating.

Although Knowles' quest to find love again began with Lawson and her friend trying to set her up with another man, "God's timing" -- as Knowles describes it -- led Lawson to her.

"But look at the timing here. Before that time I was not ready. I did not have closure," Knowles continued. "But talk about God being right on time. We had this great lunch and he said, 'I want to support you during [the divorce.] I'm going to come to Houston.' So he came to Houston, I went to LA afterwards, and it's been now a year and five months. I'm in a committed relationship with that handsome man! And I'm the happiest I've been in a long, long time."
