Over the past few months Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has been carefully releasing the names of the characters that might appear in Mortal Kombat X. Obviously, this is getting gamers excited about the game that won't even come out until April 2015.

Now, Boon has switched courses and has begun doing "un-releasing" of characters. More simply, he is telling gamers who will NOT be in the game.

Apparently Boon has been getting bombarded with requests on Twitter on who will not make it into the game. When gamers find that out a particular fighter won't be in the game, they have been fercociously asking Boon to make that character available as downloadable content (DLC).

It's good that Boon is connecting with his most important audience, his buyers, but he sure is getting confusing. He has released confusing and vague tweets in the past regarding to who might or might not be involved in Mortal Kombat X.

Obviously, not all the fighters from the original Mortal Kombat are going to make it into the newest game but of course gamers want that to happen.

Comic Books? Yes, Mortal Kombat X is a long time away but come January gamers will at least get a chance to read comic books with Mortal Kombat characters in them. This comic series is just a small way to tide Kombat fans over for the game.

The comic book features "many favorite characters" from the Mortal Kombat series, as well as "the next generation of Kombatants."

If you can close your eyes and wake up in April 2015, which characters would you want to appear in Mortal Kombat X? Sub-Zero? Scorpion? Sonya? Someone else? Leave us a comment below and let us know what you think.
