Jennifer Lawrence got a chance to tell her side of the story with the nude photo leak on her latest magazine cover.

In the Vanity Fair issue, Lawrence, 24, speaks eloquently about the way it affected her life and how a sex crime was committed against her, but she has rubbed many people the wrong way with some of her comments.

In the same interview, Lawrence tried to make light of the situation with a joke.

"At least I'm not a hermaphrodite," she said. "I could have been outed: 'Jennifer Lawrence, hermaphrodite!'"

People have taken to Twitter to explain how disappointed they are with what Lawrence said.

"Can someone please sit Jennifer Lawrence down and explain how terrible it is that she makes hermaphrodite and trans jokes at every turn?" one said.

"'At least I'm not a hermaphrodite. I could have been outed- 'Jennifer Lawrence, hermaphrodite' - a quote from human trash," another said.

The actress has received a good amount of backlash for her comments, which is the opposite of how many felt after the first part of the interview came out.

Lawrence explained that she was hurt to see the photos and that she wanted to cry. She also almost started writing letters a few times to apologize, but then she said she had nothing for which to apologize. In addition, she explained that the photos were taken when she was in a long-distance relationship.

Amid these problems, it seems Lawrence is having some good luck with her new relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

"Jennifer's mum flew to Los Angeles to meet Chris," Carolyn Koch said to The Sun. "The family is getting so big we might have to split up for gatherings."

Lawrence and Martin were also seen wearing the same pin recently, further hinting that the two are connected.
