Aldo Sarabia Garcia of Banda El Recodo has been found dead.

Garcia had been missing since Oct. 13, and he was found with a bullet wound and bruises, notes El Debate. His body was transferred to a funeral home for an autopsy.

Recently, one of the band members of El Recodo talked about the last time he saw Garcia.

The group performed on Oct. 12 in San Juan, California, said Poncho Lizarraga. The next day, a group member tried to contact Garcia but got no response.

"We are shocked, because you can disappear for a day or two, maybe you can go on a bender, but knowing Aldo, that seems very strange to us," he said. "That's why we are worried, very shocked, but we are also positive and we hope, God willing, that he arrives."

Lizarraga said that the band has never been faced with threats, which led him to believe that Garcia's disappearance couldn't have been a kidnapping.

The band has released a statement on its Facebook page.

"Aldo Sarabia Garcia is now in heaven," the statement read. "He was our partner and inspirational in a thousand battles, and all these moments we shared will live on in the hearts of those that knew him."

The band continued by calling him a great friend and father and someone who had a sense of humor. He also had exceptional qualities, the band said.

The statement also thanks the authorities for having worked with the group.

"Aldo, though we are devastated about losing you, life requires us to be strong and take refuge in the beautiful moments we shared with you," the statement read. "Friend, we will miss you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We immensely appreciate all the kindness shown toward Also by our fans, friends and the media."
