A firework caused a big fire on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World in Florida Saturday night, but officials said it was quickly put out.

At around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Snow White-inspired attraction caught fire following a fireworks display.

A spokesman for the Reedy Creek Fire Department, Bo Jones, said in a statement that no one was hurt during the incident, and there was no damage to the structure of the ride. Jones said the fire had burned the fake grass on the exterior of the ride's entrance.

"We believe fireworks fell from the Magic Kingdom fireworks show and the ash landed at the top of the attraction, catching the fake grass on fire," he said. "The fire was contained to just the grass and did not get into the building or structure."

People on the ride were evacuated as soon as the fire was reported. The blaze was extinguished within minutes of it starting. The ride was re-opened to guests only an hour after the incident.

People in the park at the time took to social media to share updates on the news.

"Come to Walt Disney World. Trust me, the fire effects on the rides are so realistic, you'd swear the ride is burning," Twitter user Sam Fritz said with an attached picture of the ride on fire.

"Yeah, Walt Disney World needs to rethink Wishes," Holly Brooke tweeted. "The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train caught fire [because] of fireworks fallout."

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster was opened in the Magic Kingdom park on May 28 as part of the New Fantasyland expansion at Disney World. The lines are typically hours long for the ride.

The theme park blog Behind the Thrills reported that The Little Mermaid ride also caught fire in the Orlando theme park last year.
