During a recent interview with The Associated Press, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" actor Liam Hemsworth revealed that his "The Hunger Games" co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, helped him become happier following his breakup with his former fiancee, Miley Cyrus, last year.

"For a few years, I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment," he said. "But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier."

In addition to Lawrence, Hemsworth named reading and surfing as the reasons why he is happier and "more comfortable" in his skin than ever before.

"I read a lot of Zen books," he said. "And I grew up surfing, so that has always been my escape."

Since starring in "The Hunger Games" film series and dating Miley Cyrus, Hemsworth's fame has skyrocketed, allowing the 24-year-old heartthrob's name to be the subject of many headlines. Despite being featured in many tabloids -- especially during his relationship with Cyrus -- Hemsworth revealed he doesn't pay attention to the rumors.

"What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," he said. ''I know I'm a good person and these days I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been."

Though they are no longer together, the "Can't Stop" singer revealed back in August that she still loves Hemsworth.

"I love Liam, Liam loves me," Cyrus told Australia's "Sunday Night" host, Chris Bath, last summer, the Daily Mail reported.

Cyrus has since been linked to Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick, whom she's allegedly dating currently, according to Perez Hilton. Hemsworth is still reported single.
