Disney is bringing Cruella de Vil back to the big screen with a live-action movie in the works, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will be called Cruella and will be written and produced by Aline Brosh McKenna, writer for The Devil Wears Prada and Annie. Andrew Gunn, who produced Bedtime Stories and Sky High for Disney, will also be a producer for the film.

Glenn Close, the actress who played Cruella de Vil in the first live-action Disney adaptations of the character, 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the 2000 sequel 102 Dalmatians, will serve as an executive producer for Cruella as well.

Cruella de Vil made her first appearance in the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith. In 1961, Disney turned Cruella de VIl into a household name with its animated film adaptation of the book.

Further details about Cruella are being kept quiet by Disney studios.

Meanwhile, Cruella is just one in a series of live-action remakes Disney is producing based off of its animated classics.
