During a recent interview with Fitness, "Really Don't Care" singer Demi Lovato revealed she "almost went back to rehab" for an eating disorder last year, Us Weekly reveals.

"It's been difficult," she said of her struggle with maintaining healthy eating habits. "I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time."

Luckily for Lovato, she named boyfriend and actor Wilmer Valderrama as the reason for not having to attend rehab last year.

"Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief," she said. "I was done being afraid of food and so tired of overeating and not knowing why I did it. Now I'm on a structured meal plan. I eat four small meals and two snacks a day. It's teaching me portion control."

In addition to leaning on Valderrama and her loved ones for support, Lovato also exercises daily as part of her recovery process.

"Exercising has been so important for my recovery, both physically and mentally. On show days I count my concert as a workout, but on my off days I try to work out once in the morning and again at night," she said. "It can be a lot between performing and traveling, so I'm careful not to push myself too hard."

Though exercising has helped Lovato work on her problem areas such as her "thick thighs," Lovato still praises curvy celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, and Jennifer Lopez for embracing their voluptuous figures.

"Say what you will about the Kardashians, but they've really helped make curvy bodies beautiful again," she said. "It's so nice to look around and see women with hips and a butt, like Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Lopez."

Lovato's shocking revelation about her recent food problems comes on the heels of the singer and actress announcing that she and Miley Cyrus are no longer friends.

"We're like, acquaintances. ... It's life, and people change. And you, know, I don't have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best," Lovato said during an interview with Boston's 103.3 AMP radio show, "The TJ Show."

Sources from the Hollywood Life later revealed that Miley's partying lifestyle quickly proved to be a turn off for Lovato who also battled with drug and alcohol addiction and has made it a point to remain sober.
