The latest comic book issue of the Eleventh Doctor is seemingly dark and haunting. It features the Doctor's newest companion Alice Obiefune, old friends, "SERVEYOUinc" and a stowaway.

In this issue titled "New Adventures of the Eleventh Doctor: What He Wants..." the Doctor is mind controlled by a "SERVEYOUinc" employee in 1931 Mississippi. He is rescued by Alice and another bloke. And this happens in only in the first three pages of the comic book.

There are three stories going on that have been cleverly woven together by the writer Rob Williams in this issue. And, the artist Simon Fraser and colorist Gary Caldwell mixed the dark and light colors with ease. The cover artist for this issue is Verity Glass. Glass draws and paints the TARDIS in a swamp, and the swamp is surrounded by smoke and trees. Glass's cover art alone sets the mood and tone of the adventure to come.

The first story is "SERVEYOUinc," which was featured in Issue #2: "New Adventures of the Eleventh Doctor: The Friendly Place." As was mentioned then, this organization wants to control the universe, and it appears to be spreading through all of space and time. This organization's agenda this time is to give you whatever you want. For example, a particular guitar player in Mississippi in 1931 wants to be the best musician in the world.

The second story centers around Alice wanting to meet John Jones, her mother's music idol in London, England, back in 1962. The Doctor and Alice head to 1962, but they are both disappointed by Jones' lackluster performance.

The third story is of the stowaway. When Alice and the Doctor go back to the TARDIS lamenting how disappointing Jones was, unbeknownst to them, Jones slips on board the time machine. The stowaway, Jones, turns out to be some kind of humanoid alien–what the Doctor calls a chameleon–with the ability to be unseen, at least for now.

When the trio finally arrive in 1931 Mississippi, they meet many people who have been controlled by the "SERVEYOUinc" employee. They–Alice, the Doctor and Jones, along with Robert Johnson–barely escape from the mind controlled people. But the Doctor gets captured, so it is up to Alice, Jones and the Doctor's old friend Johnson to figure out a way to rescue the Time Lord.

Alice says, "We're going to have to use your [our] talents to do it." Alice and Jones rescue the Doctor with a pickup truck. Yes, a pickup truck in 1931. And Johnson uses his music abilities to break the mind controlled crowd and the Doctor from "SERVEYOUinc." It works.

The story is wrapped up nicely with more clues from the Doctor's past. You will have to read to find out, but just know that the High Council is watching the Doctor.
