Apple has made it much more difficult to jailbreak the iPhone, thanks to updates to the newer phones and the operating systems. This has been reflected in the timeframe for the latest jailbreak, as hackers have yet to crack the code a month after iOS 7 was released.

The Evad3rs hackers have taken to Twitter to update fans on the progress they've made so far.

"(T)he road is long though. Assembling all the pieces may take a while... Don't expect a jailbreak next week people ;)" @pod2g tweeted.

"Again, and like usual, we can't give a release date for the iOS 7 jailbreak. We can run into different troubles... No idea," another Evad3r @planetbeing added.

The International Business Times suggests that the release date for the jailbreak could possibly be in late October at around the same that Apple is expected to unveil the next iPad Mini. Apple has a press conference scheduled for Oct. 22.

In other news, Wincom has said that they are planning to have an iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 jailbreak sometime within the next few months or prior to the beginning of next year. In a tweet, Wincom said the estimated arrival time prior next year is "definite."

Wincom may be running out of time considering Evad3rs may just be just days or weeks away from an iOS 7 release. However, there's no telling which phones this jailbreak could be usable on. Just a few days ago, weheard a rumor about a jailbreak for the iPhone 5, but not for the iPhone 5s or 5c.
