With the season 3 premiere of House of Cards just over 2 months away, fans are growing ever more curious as to the plot of the show, and the fate of it's main character Frank Underwood as brilliantly portrayed by Kevin Spacey. Such little has been revealed regarding the plot of season 3 that we are putting together the few snippets of information that have been gathered over the past month. If you don't want to know even a vague outline of the plot, or if you haven't seen the first two seasons, don't read on.

First off a reminder that the original source material from the UK was only a 4-episode mini-series whose plot line ran dry long ago. The book that the original series was based on has two sequels though were already heading in a completely different direction, so this means that House of Cards season 3 is going to be a completely original production that could go in any direction it pleases. Netflix's original contract with David Fincher and Kevin Spacey called for 2 seasons, which are now up, leaving season 3 to be a sink or swim situation.

As we know Frank Underwood [Kevin Spacey] is now the President of the United States after having been devilishly clever as to find himself as the Vice President when the President resigned rather than face impeachment. Den Of Geek has speculated that President Underwood will be in the hunt for even more power, though one would think the highest office in the land is where the ceiling lies. They speculate however that he will aim to be one of the most powerful Presidents in U.S history, and with a motivation like his, the sky is the limit.

As far as a new antagonist E! Online broke the news that a Russian character will play the main stage against Underwood. The role will go by the name Anto Ivonovich and his character is described as "formidable" and "refined." Along with the new antagonist, Kim Dickens who was recently cast in The Walking Dead prequel is confirmed to be among the cast.

House Of Cards season 3 will be available in its entirety on Netflix February 27th, 2015.
