PlayStation users who are Minecraft fans got a cool Christmas present from Mojang and 4J Studiosthis year as the game studio released the latest update for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

4J Studios, the British game developer that makes versions of Minecraft for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, announced via its Twitter account the Title Update 19 was available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita American users.

The game studio announced the update for European PlayStation users last week at the same time the update was announced for Xbox One and Xbox 360 worldwide.

However, the Christmas announcement left PlayStation 4 users in the lurch, as 4J said there was no news from PlayStation concerning its latest console.

There will not be any new updates from 4J until after the New Year.

The update brings the same things to PlayStation already available on PC and most recently Xbox. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the update brings new mobs and features, particularly horses, witches and Withers. These will also bring their accompanying mob drops, like nether stars and other accessories like horse saddles.

The update will also bring Redstone blocks, hoppers and droppers, which will benefit players and allow them to create different automated contraptions.

Though the trailer below is for Xbox, the new additions are similar in the PlayStation:
