"X-Men: Apocalypse" is currently still 16 months away, but fans are already growing eager for any semblance of detail surrounding the highly anticipated follow up to "X-Men: Days of Future Past." This week director Bryan Singer allowed fans to wet their lips but not much more.

Singer posted a picture of the script, and though not all that visible, it was enough to increase anticipation. The script reads "Act One, Sequence One 1-15," and the few words visible tell us that it is a prologue set in Egypt, near the Nile river. We know that the after credits scene from "Days of Future Past" featured Apocalypse building the Great Pyramids. The picture of the script also reveals a mention of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen.

Apocalypse, the first human to ever live, will be portrayed by Oscar Isaac, who most recently starred in "Inside Llewyn Davis" and has an upcoming role in "Star Wars Episode VII." Singer also posted a picture of a completed shot as viewed through a pair of glasses. It appears to be the construction of Egypt.

In other news, Channing Tatum, who will be portraying Gambit in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse," already has his own spinoff. The movie is over a year away, but the studio saw fit to give Tatum's Gambit a standalone film. The Gambit film, so far just "Gambit," will hit theaters a mere six months after the release of "X-Men Apocalypse" on Oct, 7, 2016.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" grossed $746 million dollars worldwide, breaking the record for any X-Men movie, and "Apocalypse" is expected to do even better. Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris are also helping to pen the X-Men prequel.
