Bill Cosby's stand-up show at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario on Thursday was met with standing ovations, shocking jokes and many hecklers outside and inside the venue.

The New York Daily News reports that more than 150 protesters gathered outside Budweiser Gardens and urged the show's attendees to not go inside and support the comedian accused of raping more than two dozen women.

"Shame on you!" demonstrator Kim Petrie scolded, according to the NY Daily News. "Thirty women, daughters, mothers, sisters!"

Despite the protesting, more than 2,600 fans attended the Thursday night show in support of Cosby.

The night began with Cosby commenting on the frigid weather, says the NY Daily News, and later consisted of a joke that Cosby made about drugging women.

The National Post reports that as a woman in the audience stood up from her seat and made her way to the bar to grab a drink, Cosby stopped her and asked her where she was going.

The woman explained that she was going to get a drink and offered the comedian a glass to which he responded with a smile, "You have to be careful about drinking around me."

Although the audience initially responded to the controversial joke with a collective "oooo," the National Post reports that audience members quickly shifted their tense response with an outburst of laughter.

However one person that wasn't laughing was a heckler in the audience who was arrested after he shouted, "We don't love you, Bill! You're a rapist. I'm being ejected because you're a rapist!" says the National Post.

Following the show, Cosby released a statement obtained by the Huffington Post thanking his fans for their continued support and attendance at his London, Ontario performance.

"Dear Fans: One outburst but over 2600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for human-kind. Laughter," the statement reads. "I thank you, the theatre staff (Budweiser Gardens), the event organizers and the London, ON Community for your continued honor and support. I'm Far From Finished."

Cosby's following show in Hamilton, Ontario on Friday was met with even more protestors outside and inside the venue, says the Hollywood Reporter.

A group of women stood up and protested during Cosby's Friday performance and the comedian insisted that the women be allowed to protest and not be escorted out.
