Andressa Urach's life-threatening cosmetic procedure has been well documented, and now the 27-year-old Miss Bumbum contestant is speaking out about the experience.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the model explained that getting fillers, which eventually began rotting inside her legs, was part of her "stupid vanity."

Urach claimed that she died during the ordeal and believes she now has another chance to do better.

"I knew that I'd left my body and died," she said. "I arrived in an empty place, like a dessert, completely silent. That's when I knew that God exists. I felt his presence. I knew I was at the judgment. My life flashed before me like a film. I felt ashamed and knew I wasn't worthy to enter heaven. I asked for forgiveness and begged for another chance, promised to make amends."

Urach said that when she was dead, she realized that her beauty and possessions did not matter and that if she could, she would do things differently.

"Nobody knows what I'm going through, I'm in constant agony," she said. "I'm still in the middle of a horrible nightmare. All this I'm going through is punishment for my stupid vanity."

As a result of having the fillers drained and then going into intensive care after entering septic shock, Urach now has holes in her legs. The Miss Bumbum runner-up added that she will always have scars, though she is proud of them because they are proof that she "got through this alive."

Urach told Globo that she is looking for strength through this difficult time.

"I am looking for strength for my recovery," she said. "I am suffering a lot with pain in my leg. In my prayers, I look for strength to conquer this battle."
