This week is all about Apple's iPads and the new Mavericks operating system, but sources indicate that the tech giant has something else up its sleeve.

During the fourth quarter of next year, Apple will most likely roll out "ultra-high definition televisions" with screen sizes up to 65 inches, says an analyst at Advanced Research Japan Co.

According to Bloomberg, the televisions may be priced at around $1,500 to $2,500.

Apple has been rolling out updated tech devices consistently throughout this fall. Two new iPhones as well as new iPads and news of new Apple TVs indicate that the company is looking to not only keep up with competitors but to keep their own customers satisfied by repeatedly updating their products. In addition to new devices, the iOS 7 operating system was introduced for mobile devices and now the Mavericks operating system provides Mac computers with the latest updates.

Although there has been no official word from Apple about the TV, company CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the possibility of an Apple TV in the future but did not want to spill too many details.

"There is a very grand vision of this," he said at a conference in the spring. "When you look at the TV experience, it's not an experience that I think very many people love," Cook said. "It's not one that has been brought up to date for this decade. It's still an experience much like 10 years ago or 20 years ago."

According to AllThingsD, Cook was asked whether we would be seeing a TV set before the year is out. "I'm going to leave that alone," Cook said back. "But it continues to be an area of great interest to us."
