If you call David Ortiz a Designated Hitter on Saturday night, think again.

The Boston Red Sox are preparing for Game 3 of the World Series in St. Louis, where National League rules prevent Ortiz from being a DH. After playing the first two games in Boston, the two squads will be playing the next three in St. Louis.

Both teams had a much needed day off yesterday and nobody was more thankful than Carlos Beltran. After landing in the hospital with bruised rubs, the playoff star somehow managed to not only start the next day but also collected two hits on a night when he was shot up with painkillers to numb the pain.

Cards manager Mike Matheny was also glad to have a day off but he was also happy that the team went back to St. Louis after having to deal with the unique Fenway Park field dimensions.

"I believe our ballpark is very fair. I don't think there's one thing that would make our team any more effective in this park than any other," Matheny said. "It's not like there's the oddities, like a Green Monster or deep corners and gaps."

The Red Sox will send Jake Peavy to the hill despite his disastrous last start. Against the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS, Peavy tossed three innings and gave up seven runs. On the other side, Joe Kelly also returns to the mound for the first time in the World Series.

With the series tied at 1-1, Game 3 starts at 8:07 p.m. ET at Busch Sttadium.
