In addition to being the top contender for Best Actress at this year's Oscars, award-winning player Julianne Moore will also be facilitating design elements for the backstage green room at the 87th Academy Awards, scheduled to take place the Dolby Theatre. The thespian will team up with Commune, the Los Angeles-based design collective commissioned to construct Architectural Digest's annual eponymous green room.

CBS News announced Tuesday, Jan. 20, that the "Still Alice" star will "consult on the room's look and help choose furniture and décor for the celebrity enclave." According to CBS reports, the garden of Moore's NYC residence materialized in a 2012 issue of the publication that tapped the actress to decorate.

The five-time Oscar nominated actress has been involved in both art house and Hollywood films, earning accolades for her performances in Paul Thomas Anderson's 1997 film "Boogie Nights" and Neil Jordan's 1999 romantic drama, "The End of the Affair."

Moore, 54, was nominated twice in 2002 for her critically acclaimed roles in Todd Haynes' "Far from Heaven" and Stephen Daldry's "The Hours." The actress was also lauded for her performances in "The Big Lebowski," "Magnolia," "A Single Man," "The Kids Are All Right" and the David Cronenberg black comedy "Maps to the Stars."

For the latter film, Moore enjoyed critical and commercial success, earning a Golden Globe nod and taking home the award for Best Actress at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for her portrayal of Havana Segrand, an ageing actress receiving psychotherapy. The success of that performance made Moore only the second actress in history, after Juliette Binoche, to win the European "Best Actress triple crown" or "Big Three" -- the top honors from the Berlin, Cannes and Venice international film festivals). She is slated to be the frontrunner at the Academy Awards this year and is predicted to win.

The Academy Awards (a.k.a. Oscars) will be presented at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, Feb. 22 and broadcast live on ABC.
