Metal rock fans may remember Orderus Urungus from the band GWAR, and soon they may get a chance to see the rocker, in costume as a playable character in "Mortal Kombat X."

A petition to get Dave Brockie (known as Orderus Urungus on stage), who passed away in March 2014 of a heroin overdose, into the video game had a goal of 5,000 signatures and has over 16,000 signatures already.

Seeing Orderus Urungus in "Mortal Kombat X" would not be surprising. GWAR's costumes already look very grotesque and the band already has tons of material for him.

"Mortal Kombat" added Freddie Kreuger, a character from horror movies, as a downloadable content (DLC) character in 2011's "Mortal Kombat" game, so adding a character like Orderus Urungus would be very acceptable, IGN reports.

"People who are familiar with GWAR know Oderus Urungus, (played by Dave Brockie) the former singer of the band, unfortunately passed away last March. Oderus was as hilarious as he was viscous, and also one of the most colorful and creative characters not only in rock history, but also history in general. Although his music will live on, what better way would there be to further immortalize (toasty) Oderus Urungus then to have him be a playable character on Mortal Kombat X," the official statement from the petition website says.

Last week, Ermac was revealed in a trailer, confirming his character in "Mortal Kombat X."

Ermac has some special powers: he can hover, teleport and even disappear, according to VG247. During the live Twitch event where Ermac was unveiled, viewers got the chance to see Ermac use his telekinsesis to rip off his opponents head, knock it back into his chest and then rip it back out. It is all done without the use of his hands, just magic. Ermac, like the other characters in "Mortal Kombat X" will have three fighting styles. His styles will be called Master of Souls, Mystic and Spectral. He will be able to fire projectiles at opponents and also keep them at a distance with his use of telekensis.

One of Ermac's fatalities has him using his powers to twist his opponent's body into a ball. In the past, Ermac then would slam his opponent to the ground. We do not see what happens after he twists the body into a ball because the screen goes black and the "Mortal Kombat X" screen comes up.

Take a look for yourself and see Ermac in action:

"Mortal Kombat X" will be released April 14.
