LeBron James reached a new milestone in his career during the Miami Heat's 104-95 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.

The NBA star scored 35 points, marking the 500th consecutive time LeBron has scored at least 10 points in a game. It was a dunk with 2:31 in the first quarter that locked down the milestone for James.

"When I see a stat like that, I'm like 'Wow,' because I know the history of the game, I know the guys who paved the way for myself and my teammates," James said. "To be in such a great class like that, it's an amazing feeling."

Teammate Dwayne Wade is so used to seeing James succeed on the court that the milestone does not shock him one bit.

"In practice, during shootaround and during games, he's a consistent player, period," Wade said. "I'm not surprised by that. Just more surprised at how he's been able to keep himself out there on the floor."

Coach Erik Spoelstra praised LeBron for his ability to remain consistent throughout the season and during his career, saying that its part of what makes him so great.

"That's not something that any average player can do," Spoelstra said. "Part of his greatness is consistency. Night in, night out, you know what to expect."

Although LeBron has been one of the most popular athletes in the country -- and the world -- for several years, his brand is becoming even more widespread as he is on the cover of the NBA 2K video game this year.
