Just days before the scheduled release of the pop star's upcoming album "Artpop," Lady Gaga has reportedly parted with her longtime manager Troy Carter over "creative differences."

Rising from a club act performer to an international pop sensation, Carter helped build Gaga into who she is in the present. He indeed played a great role in the singer's pop career since he signed her in 2007.

"She was very specific about her vision, all of the music was there, and all she needed was someone to help her translate it to the rest of the world, which is where I came in," Lady Gaga's manager said about the pair's partnership earlier this year.

The "Poker Face" singer and Troy Carter worked side-by-side. The manager frequently talked about their partnership, where Gaga handled most of the creative decisions, while Carter handled the business end. Together, along with Vince Herbert, who handles Lady Gaga's A&R, the singer has sold nearly 23 million albums worldwide.

Gaga gave a tearful performance of "Dope" as part of the YouTube Music Awards on Sunday, and has spent the past several weeks posting new tracks from her new project. While preparing for the release of "Artpop," Gaga and Carter inconveniently parted their ways. Lady Gaga's representative would neither confirm nor deny that the singer had split with Troy Carter, and his rep couldn't be reached for comment.

Lady Gaga's forthcoming third studio album is set for a release on November 11. She's also set to host "Saturday Night Live" on November 16.
