Fans are only a few days away from the third studio album of the phenomenally popular and uberly talented lads, One Direction. With its November 25 release date inching closer, dear ol' Simon Cowell has also tipped it his two cents on Midnight Memories.

Cowell, X Factor USA judge/ producer and manager for the lads, told Hollywire in an interview that fans will definitely love the new record.

"I think everyone's going to like it...it's a great album," he said.

Uncle Si also noted how the boys - Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - were hands on in the process of the album, and how this helped them "mature" as a band.

"They had a lot more to do with the - the writing, the choosing of the songs - so they've matured as a band," Cowell explained.

Notably, Niall has also confirmed to his 15.4 million Twitter followers that he will be playing guitars on a few tracks for Midnight Memories.

"If you listen to Midnight Memories you might hear someone you know on guitar occasionally! :)," he tweeted.

Julian Bunetta, who produced their single "Best Song Ever", also noted how the guys kept the production of the album close even while touring.

"They're involved in every step of it, [from] the lyrics down to the mix. They're getting emails when they're on the tour bus, making comments. They know how important this album is for their career and longevity and they really want to make it count. It's not very often that you get to make a third album as an artist," he told MTV.

"It's not changing the formula. It's just on this album they've had a lot of creative control and they're saying what they want to say and what they're feeling; what they're going through and they want to share it with their fans," he added. "It's going to be an incredible, incredible album. I'm really proud of the stuff we've done."

Midnight Memories will drop in stores on November 25.
