Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston are seemingly doing all they can to avoid one another as the family continues to stage around-the-clock vigils at the bedside of still comatose Bobbi Kristina Brown.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the two have intentionally been arriving at Emory Hospital at different times of the day and not at all interacting with one another. The only daughter Brown had with Whitney Houston has been in a medically induced coma for more than a week after being found face down in a bathtub full of water in her Atlanta home.

Brown has been at his 21-year-old daughter's side almost from the start, and Cissy Houston is reported to have arrived in town last week.

The "It's My Prerogative" singer has publicly been at odds with his ex-wife's family ever since he showed up at Whitney Houston's funeral more than three years ago and instantly quarreled with them over seating arrangements.

"My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife," Brown told People Magazine back then. "We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us to move."

The New York Daily News reports also fueling at least some of the tension could be reports Cissy Houston and other family members might be in line to assume Bobbi Kristina Brown's estimated $20 million fortune. Cissy Houston and two brothers assume control of the estate Whitney Houston left her only child if she dies before turning 30.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced Brown and other family members recently fought at the Midtown W hotel after gathering for Bobby Brown's birthday dinner. The Atlanta Police Department was called to the scene, but no arrests were made.
