Just a few games into his new career with the Houston Rockets, Dwight Howard is already at the center of attention.

The veteran NBA star left the bright lights of Los Angeles after just one season and decided to sign with the Houston Rockets. He wasn't happy in Los Angeles because he was stuck in Kobe Bryant's shadow, but once he signed with the Rockets he immediately became the team's top player.

But so far this season, the negativity that surrounded him in the past has resurfaced to a certain extent. He already had to face the Los Angeles Lakers and there were obviously going to be some bitter attitudes after his failed stint there. Furthermore, the team has struggled out of the gates this season; the 4-3 record wouldn't look so bad if the hype wasn't so intense. The team landed its second big-name player in two years in Dwight Howard. Last year the Rockets signed Jeremy Lin and advanced to the playoffs for the first time in several years.

In the most recent game this season, Houston lost to the Los Angeles Clippers. Howard spoke after the game and said the team has to regain its focus moving forward.

"We just stopped playing the way we played to get the lead," said center Dwight Howard, who had 18 points through three quarters but just three in the fourth. "It takes time. We can't lose faith now. We can't lose each other. We just have to stay together, stay focused, stay positive. We lost a couple games and they were ugly. This is a great test for us. We're going to pull through it."
