Kendrick Lamar appears on the cover of GQ's "Man of the Year" issue, and the publication proudly gave the Compton rapper the title, "Rapper of the Year." The accompanying promotional video for the issue is released, as well.

During the feature interview, Lamar speaks on a variety of topics; one standout subject included is about his alleged feud with the fellow rapper Drake throughout this year. He admits that he has a "pretty cool" relationship with the Toronto rapper now, following the release of his controversial verse on Big Sean's "Control" and another verse at the BET Cypher. Lamar adds, "I mean, I would be okay if we weren't." The rapper also acknowledged that Drake had taken his cypher verse as a diss, and said that Drake wasn't a creative influence or role model to him. He simply said, "If anything. We all peers."

Following MTV VMAs, Kendrick and his TDE crew attended Diddy's after party, where J.Cole and Diddy himself reportedly got into a confrontation over Lamar's "Control" verse. While neither Kendrick nor his crew would acknowledge the incident, the "good kid, m.A.A.d city" rapper explained his decision to go to the party prior to attending the event. "I only go when there's a point. Usually the point is just n---as drinking. But walking through the club the week after I released the 'Control' verse? That's a point!"

GQ has released a video of Kendrick Lamar from his photo shoot with the publication, which features the rapper posing and rapping. GQ's "Man of the Year" issue is available in newsstands now.
