Boston residents are finding ways to have fun during the snowiest February in history. Mayor Marty Walsh is telling them to stop.

Walsh is noticing a trend among his residents: they are jumping into snowdrifts from their windows and posting videos of it online, according to USA Today.

"I'm asking people to stop their nonsense right now. These are adults jumping out windows. It's a foolish thing to do, and you could kill yourself," Walsh said, according to a video of his remarks from the Boston Herald.

This winter, Boston has already accumulated eight feet of snow and February is a record-breaking month for the city.

"This isn't Loon Mountain, this is the city of Boston, where we're trying to remove snow off of the street, and it becomes very dangerous. And the last thing we want to do is respond to an emergency call where somebody jumped out of the window because they thought it was a funny thing to do," Walsh said.

Christina Phaup, a resident of Boston, said she was unaware of people recording themselves jumping into the snow until Walsh's speech.

"I haven't had contact with the outside world in days," Phaup told the Huffington Post.

Now that Walsh gave her the idea, she added she is intrigued and is "putting that on my to-do list."

Jumping into snowdrifts can be dangerous, however, because you never know what is below the snow.

"It can certainly be life-threatening," Dr. Tom Nowicki, an emergency physician in Hartford, Connecticut, told WFSB. "It would be very unfortunate to break your neck and lose function of your arms and legs from something that was intended to be fun. There could be anything underneath that's covered by the snow."

Even though they know (or they might not) it is dangerous, that did not stop these residents from taking the jump. Check out some of the videos below:
