Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran are now being slammed by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after wearing matching fur coats at this year's New York Fashion Week.

The couple was certainly prepared for New York City's extreme weather, as they opted for the golden furry jackets. Sitting on the first row at the Michael Costello runway show, they showed off adorable PDA.

"Chris and Karrueche are flaunting their love for everyone to see at New York Fashion Week," a source revealed to Hollywood Life. "It's like Chris is a new man, totally committed to Karrueche. He's not afraid to show her lots of affection in public."

According to the source, Brown held Tran's hand at the Michael Costello show and "gently guided her to her seat."

"It's so cute they are even dressing alike in matching fur jackets," the source continued. "Chris was leaning in close whispering things to Karrueche, which put a big smile on her face. He even gave her neck a little kiss. They really look to be madly in love."

The "Autumn Leaves" crooner wore his luxury piece with black leather pants, a grey hoodie over a white tee and matching white Timbaland boots. He completed his wild ensemble with a huge gold diamond chains and purple tinted sunglasses.

The Cali model rocked her fur coat over a crop top, olive skinnies and black blinged-out, open-toe sandal stilettos.

While the lovebirds undoubtedly made a fashion statement, PETA's U.S. Senior Vice President Lisa Lange had to say "nay" to their recent wardrobe choice.

"There are few things more out of touch than draping yourself in the skins of animals who were beaten, electrocuted and even skinned alive for their fur," she said in a statement (via Daily Mail). "P!nk's New York Fashion Week PETA US billboard shows that true beauty comes from kindness -- Chris Brown's furs are just more of the same from him: ugly violence."
