If you're a true 90's kid, you definitely remember the Furby's. They made their debut in 1998 during the holiday season. The Furby toys are those cuddly little creatures, which are a mixture of an owl and a hamster. At this time we were still evolving technologically, so the Furby's mechanical yet simple functionalities were very exciting to kids. We weren't walking around with humongous "Zack Morris" cell phones anymore but neither were we iMessaging each other.

Today, we live in a rapidly advance technological era. This means that 6-year olds know how to operate a laptop better than their parents can. That's why toymaker Hasbro has evolved the Furby into the new Furby BOOM. The Furby BOOM's eyes are LCD screens, allowing it to emote more realistically. The BOOM is also considered a "robot pet" which kids can virtually control using a smartphone or tablet. Like the regular Furby, the Furby BOOM is still very interactive and well...needy. Your kids will still be required to talk to them, feed them, tickle them and make them dance. The care is the same, except for things like bathing your Furby, which can now be done digitally and not in a actual shower, which cost our parents, another Furby.

Through the application that will allow kids to take care of their now even more needy Furby BOOM, you can also relieve your Furby. As in your Furby poops! How cute is that? (odd face emojii). PCMAG says "If this seems familiar, the Tamagochi virtual pet had similar needs...you'll point your smart device toward the Furby to spray it with water or sit on a virtual toilet". Oh my gosh, do you remember the Tamagochi pets? Mine used to die all the time; I was obviously more interested in outside recreation, sorry pepe (name of my Tamagochi). Anyway, check out the video below so you know exactly what Furby BOOMS require of your kids and be prepared to be amazed. The updates are very cool and it's nice to share a toy with your kids that you once owned yourself.
