On Thursday, March 19, Us Weekly announced that it was retracting its story about Kendall Jenner addressing the alleged transition her father Bruce Jenner is going through.

Us Weekly apologized for falsely quoting Jenner and publishing a story titled, "Kendall Jenner Breaks Silence on Bruce Jenner's Transition: 'I Will Always Love My Dad.'"

Us Weekly's original story, published on Wednesday, March 18, alleged that the 19-year-old model was in support of her father's transition to become a woman. The publication claimed to have met with Jenner backstage after Justin Bieber's Comedy Central Roast when she purportedly expressed great support of her father.

"I love my dad. He's always been there for me and my sisters," Us Weekly quoted Jenner saying. "He's a wonderful man. And just because he's changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn't make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he's a man or a woman."

Following the release of the story, Jenner released a series of tweets slamming the publication for falsely quoting her. Jenner even claimed that she never spoke to Us Weekly to begin with, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Us Weekly claims that it obtained the story from a freelance reporter who continues to stand by the interview and Jenner's alleged quotes.

However, because of its "concerns about the veracity" of the interview, the entertainment magazine has chosen to delete the story altogether.

The Washington Post suggests that Us Weekly false reports come as an odd development because the Kardashian-Jenner family allegedly has a "mutually beneficial relationship" with Us Weekly.

"The reality show dynasty gives editors exclusive pieces of news and in return gets prime placement in the magazine. And it's very rare to see any tabloid not only apologize for a story but delete the entire thing. The original story is gone from the Us Weekly site," reported the Washington Post.

Kendall Jenner has yet to respond to Us Weekly's retraction.
