James Rodriguez is scheduled to make his return when Real Madrid goes up against Granada in a Spanish La Liga match on Sunday at Santiago Bernabeu.

Rodriguez, who was acquired by Real Madrid in a lucrative €80 million transfer deal with Monaco last summer, has not seen action since sustaining a broken bone in his foot during their 2-1 win over Sevilla in February.

According to Marca, Rodriguez passed his last test on Friday when he played a mini-football game with his teammates without any restrictions.

The Colombia international did not experience any pain during the game and will start for Real Madrid barring any setback before the match. He will team up with fellow midfielders Toni Kroos and Luka Modric to fuel their attack and provide scoring options for Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

Rodriguez will take the place of Isco in the starting lineup after the Spanish midfielder was suspended for committing his fifth yellow card. Rodriguez will also be a timely boost to the team as they are currently in a tight race with FC Barcelona for the Spanish La Liga title this season.

FC Barcelona are currently on top of the La Liga standings with 68 points in 28 games -- four points ahead of Real Madrid. Valencia FC are in third place with 60 points, while defending league champions Atletico Madrid are in fourth place with 59 points.

Real Madrid were on top of the standings before Rodriguez went down with an injury. Since losing the midfielder, who has tallied eight goals and seven assists this season, Real Madrid lost in four of their last nine games.

Aside from Rodriguez, the club also announced in a statement that Keylor Navas and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez will also be available for Sunday's game after spending time with their respective national teams.

"Real Madrid continued their preparations for Sunday's game against Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu," the club said in a statement. "Keylor Navas and Chicharito joined the group, and therefore, Ancelotti had all available players for the second last training session of the week."
