It has been confirmed that The Black Eyed Peas are currently gearing up for a comeback this year, after reuniting at last weekend's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

During David Guetta's set, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo took the stage to debut their new track titled "Awesome." Although Fergie did not perform with her bandmates, she was spotted hanging out backstage.

In his interview with AskMen, Guetta revealed that he will be entirely producing the Los Angeles, California hip-hop group's latest project, which will be their first since 2011.

"I've been working lately with Will on a new Black Eyed Peas record," he said. "We were supposed to do it, and he asked if we should do the record for the first time at Coachella. I said, 'Cool, let's do it!'"

While the French DJ did not go into many details, B.E.P.'s upcoming album is expected to drop sometime this year.

The "Dangerous" EDM artist's statement follows will.i.am's chat with Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon on the U.K.'s Capital FM Breakfast Show, via MTV UK back in January.

When asked about the possibility of getting back together with his crew in the future, the "Scream & Shout" singer responded: "We're gonna have new music, we'll have a bunch of new experiences, I don't wanna call them albums. We'll have experiences and a bunch of stuff to get to the PEAbodies, and the folks that supported us, that got us to this point."

He added that the band hopes to make new material for their fans and "just reflect on the initial dream we had in June 1995," in celebration of their 20th anniversary.
