Suspended New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is fed up with the way Major League Baseball has targeted him in the biogenesis scandal and is prepared to tell his side of the story.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, A-Rod is close to finalizing a multimillion dollar deal that would bring a tell-all book to the general public in which he plans to show the "full dirt of Major League Baseball's tactics."

A source also told the publication that A-Rod has been thinking about pushing forward with a documentary about the issue; he has even met with several filmmakers, the source said.

It would most likely be a much easier task to write the book instead and that is indeed what the Yankees star appears to be focusing on at this point in time.

"A number of publishers are vying for the book, with offers coming in over $5 million. Alex has met with several publishers over the past few weeks and has meetings with others right after the new year," the source said.

"This book is going to go into the real low-down dirt of MLB tactics and collusion with the Yankees to get him out of the game. Alex has also had meetings with Billy Corben on a '30 for 30'-type documentary about his story."

Rodriguez was suspended last season for 211 games for violating the league's drug policy. He has since appealed the suspension as he looks to get back on the field next season, but the ruling will not be made until January of 2014, the Post reports. A-Rod made headlines recently when he stormed out of a hearing when he found out that MLB Commissioner Bud Selig would not be testifying.

The 38 year old has won one world series title -- in 2009 with the Yankees -- and is a three-time AL MVP award winner.
