More news and rumors are coming up from the Star Wars Episode VII set and, this time, the rumors are that Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence -- best known for her work in The Hunger Games -- will be cast in a pivotal role in the upcoming feature film!

According to K-Pop Stars, originally, the star of The Silver Lining's Playbook denied reports that she would be starring in the much-anticipated sequel. The funny part? Lawrence was rumored to be playing "a young Han Solo." You read that right -- Lawrence was scheduled to play the role of the opposite sex in the film, a role which she adamantly denied taking, or wanting to take. "I can't play a young Han Solo. That would be awful," she said.

Although she denied the rumors of being involved in the highly anticipated film, she did divulge that it is has always been her desire to "to play a man," the two-time Hunger Games star also insisted that whoever would be cast as Han Solo would "probably be male." And when the writer told her that she has the "swagger and the charisma to do that kind of thing," she responded enthusiastically, saying: "Oh my God, that's awesome. Can I do that?"

Meanwhile, in additional casting news, we have already confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch auditioned for a role in the film, and has a desire to be cast in the film. No word yet, however, on whether his wish will be granted, or in what capacity he will be cast.

"Of course I'd love to do Star Wars and work with JJ Abrams again because we had such a good time on Star Trek," Cumberbatch stated during the Toronto Film Festival. "But nobody has been cast and there are no offers out to anyone apart from the regulars who are returning. So that's that rumor quashed." Then he adds with a grin: "We'll have to wait and see."

Lucasfilm has yet to announce any official cast for the Star Wars Episode 7 movie, but according to reports the screenplay for the movie is expected to be finished in January and will soon go to production. Then, maybe that's the time we could expect them to release names who will be included in the film.
