Miley Cyrus has reportedly been spending time with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, sparking some to wonder if they are back on.

The pop star and Patrick Schwarzenegger recently called it quits just after a five-month fling, as the latter was reportedly photographed doing body shots off his ex-girlfriend during spring break in Cabo.

A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com that Cyrus broke up with Schwarzenegger, because she no longer wanted to waste time on anyone who did not appreciate her and was not equally committed. This is a lesson she previously learned from Hemsworth.

"Miley felt that Patrick didn't really appreciate her and so she ended things with him," the source said. "Overall, she's just disappointed, because she really did like Patrick."

With that being said, New York Daily News' Confidenti@l reported that the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker and the Australian actor have been communicating through text messages lately.

Also, a source said that the two, who ended their engagement back in May 2012, were spotted "hanging out" at Soho House in West Hollywood last week. They appeared to be on a date.

OK! magazine similarly reported that Hemsworth has been supporting Cyrus following her split, and the former couple is in communication every night.

"Liam told Miley he'd always be there for her, no matter what," an insider said. "He was enraged at how she's been treated [by Schwarzenegger]."

Another source claimed otherwise, according to People. The person said that the two may be on good terms, but that it hasn't gone further than that.

The source insisted that though Cyrus and Hemsworth "socialize" around Los Angeles and "keep in contact via texts," "nothing more is going on," adding that the "We Can't Stop" singer is "totally fine with being single now" since she does not want to be in a serious relationship.
