Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have continued to make some history this season throughout the last two weeks.

During the last two weeks, both players engaged in two matches apiece. In the first week, both players fought throughout two league games before playing in the Champions League and the league on the weekend.

In the first week of action, Messi started what would become a major turnaround for him. And on the ensuing Saturday he repeated the feat in an 8-0 win at Cordoba.

On the other end of the spectrum, Ronaldo continued his goal scoring drought against Almeria despite a 3-0 win. However, he rectified that performance with a hat trick to save Madrid in Sevilla in a huge 3-2 win.

But then he and his club his a disastrous stretch the ensuing week with a 2-1 loss against Juventus and a title-ending 2-2 draw at home against Valencia. In the Juventus defeat, Ronaldo played the hero with the crucial away goal. But his efforts were in vain against Valencia as he hit the iron and failed on a penalty that would have changed the complexion of the game.

Meanwhile, Barcelona cruised in its two games with Messi destroying Bayern Munich single-handedly with two goals and one assist. He was less effective against Real Sociedad on the weekend, but his team managed to win out.

In the last 10 games, Ronaldo has eight goals and five assists.

Messi, however, has been trending in the opposite direction. He had scored two goals and one assists in three straight games and had been on a four-game goal scoring streak before being shut down by Real Sociedad. However, he has consistently dominated opposition with his dribbling and superior passing.

In his last 10 games, Messi has 10 goals and five assists.
