Mexican boxer Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez is selling his luxury San Diego mansion for almost $6.5 million, reports Realtor.com

The residence, which is located at Rancho Pacifica community, is not just any ordinary mansion, according to the site. Canelo's 11,970-square-foot home contains six bedrooms, a sitting room, and a study room displaying traditional box-beam ceilings. The luxury property also boasts stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

The boxer's large master bedroom includes a sitting area, his-and-her closets and an enviable bathroom.

Indoors, one can have fun watching movies in the theater room, which has customized seats. One can enjoy a drink or two with several friends while playing in the spacious game room, as it has its own bar.

The home also prides itself for having a modern chef kitchen that features a pizza oven. The next owners may eat their pizza or any gourmet food to their liking in the indoor-outdoor lounge.

The lounge could be a perfect location for an outdoor party, since it is adjacent to the swimming pool, which is equipped with a spa. A nice summer fun-filled pool party may be planned in the comfort of this Rancho Pacifica home. The entertainment area also has a fireplace. Some family guests may also enjoy a tropical vibe in the rear yard, as it showcases proud palm trees and a cabana.

Apart from the main house, there's a one-bedroom guest house near the pool where the host's visitors may stay.

Architectural Details

The single-story home of the fighter is not just expansive, it was also designed to offer aesthetic appeal. It has soaring ceilings, providing a comfortable ambiance throughout the home. The sitting area displays wood beam ceilings.

Interested buyers may contact Mary Heon, who is Canelo's listing agent for the San Diego property. She told Realtor.com that Canelo's home is "one of the nicest homes in Rancho Pacifica."

Saúl Álvarez Earnings

Sources have varying information on Álvarez's net worth but according to Forbes, the 24-year-old fighter mainly derived his fortune via boxing. He started throwing punches professionally in 2005 at the age of 15. The site notes that Canelo amassed $21 million last year from winnings worth $19.5 million and endorsements that amount to $1.5 million, making him land on the 66th spot of The World's Highest-Paid Athletes of 2014. His endorsements reportedly include Corona, Everlast and Under Armour.

The young boxer may have more feathers to add in his cap as rumors go around saying he could be the next man to fight Gennady "GGG" Golovkin or even Floyd Mayweather Jr.

What's been verified, though, is that GGG is ready to face Alvarez in the ring.
