The CD Projekt Red's highly anticipated action role-playing game, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," would soon be available to current-generation gaming consoles and PC. Before the game arrives, here is everything there is to know to enjoy the upcoming game.

The title comes three years after "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" came out. The third iteration completes the trilogy that would see the end of witcher Geralt of Ratvia's story, IGN reported.

Jakub Szamalek of CD Projekt Red confirmed that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would see the last for Geralt and with that, the developers have to bid him a "proper goodbye and decided to part ways with a boom."

"I think good stories must have an ending," Szamalek said. "You cannot extend them indefinitely, and we felt that Geralt has had such an amazing adventure, and his saga is already so long and complex that this seemed like a good point to think about an appropriate finale for the story."

While the upcoming title is Geralt's last, the developers have assured that it won't be the last for "The Witcher" series.

Szamalek explained that the universe of the game is huge and with lots of characters that could potentially be the new setting and story of other "The Witcher" titles.

Geralt's mission in the Wild Hunt takes him to search for a child that was mentioned in a prophecy, as seen on the game's official website. The "ashen-haired girl, a living and highly volatile weapon everyone wants to control" is important and it is the witcher's job to find her before she destroys the world.

His mission to find the child would see him to faraway places and in contention with an army called the "Wild Hunt." These far-flung locations are part of the new world "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is set upon, which is estimated to be 30 times bigger than previous titles of the game.

According to Game Spot's interview with Senior Environment Artist Jonas Mattsson, the map of Wild Hunt is a big open world environment with the main land of No Man's Land and Novigrad and some islands off the coast of the main land.

Because of the size, it is reported that the whole game could be completed in 100 hours.

The "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on May 19.

According to Gameranx, two patch updates would be immediately available for download once the game goes live to fix issues concerning DLC support, stability problems and other game improvements.
