Its official, Emma Watson is now single.

E! News has confirmed that Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, has split from long-term boyfriend Will Adamowicz.

The pair met in 2011 as students at Oxford University and a rep of the 23-year old superstar told Yahoo! "Emma and Will separated last summer and are no longer in touch."

There is no official explanation as to the cause of the break up but insiders say that the actress' schedule is just too hectic with filming to continue the relationship.

The news about the split came before pictures of 23-year old Adamowicz emerged with six white packets, white powder across a table, what appears to be a rolled up cigarette, $100 bill and a New York subway MetroCard.

The caption of the photograph read, "HNY [Happy New Year] -- with Will Adamowicz" which was taken on January 1, 2014.

Mirror UK reports Adam confirmed he was no longer involved with Emma and has denied the packets are drugs but failed to answer when asked what the substance was.

Adam claims, "The picture is not compromising. It is not what you think. They are not packages. They are not drugs. They are just bits of scrap paper. I don't take any drugs."

During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Emma talked about the cultural differences between dating an American as opposed to British men.

The Lancôme beauty reveals, "English guys... dress really well and they are very well mannered. But they are also very restrained." Watson the continued, "Usually in the whole courting situation, I'm used to being first of all, ignored for the first two months of the ritual. And then maybe they'll acknowledge my presence,"

However, this differs from her experiences while living in the United States, "Then I arrive in America, and I remember a few nights into Brown [University], this guy just being like, 'I like you. You're great. Let's go on a date. Let's do it.' I'm like, 'I'm sorry, what just happened?'"

She further opened up, "They're very like open and very straight-forward, but they wear flip-flops and I don't know if I like that."

Watson is now attending Brown University and completing her degree.
