Ashanti is reportedly dating NFL player Darnell Dockett, according to Fashion & Style.

Rumors of Ashanti and Dockett's relationship first emerged after the "Braveheart" singer tweeted a birthday message to Dockett on Wednesday, May 27, says the Jasmine Brand.

Ashanti wished Dockett a happy birthday and referred to the NFL star as "baybay," which is a slang term of endearment.

Dockett then responded with his own tweet calling Ashanti his boo.

Fashion & Style reports that this is not the first time Ashanti has made headlines for her love life. Ashanti was once in a long 10-year relationship with rapper Nelly and in late 2014 there were rumors that she was in a long-distance relationship with an unidentified African man.

Nelly has since moved on with Shantel "Miss Jackson" Jackson who is also featured on his BET reality series "Nellyville," Fashion & Style reports.

Neither Ashanti nor Dockett have confirmed their relationship.

And though Ashanti is keeping quiet about her love life, she has been very vocal about her upcoming joint tour with rapper Ja Rule.

MTV reports that Ashanti and Ja Rule recently announced that they are going on tour together in Australia.

Ashanti has also been promoting the release of her new music.
