Yesterday, Rockstar Games released a new version of Grand Theft Auto, but unfortunately, it was not the PC version gamers have demanded. Instead, Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on mobile devices.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was released yesterday for Android, Amazon and iOS devices with "with re-mastered, high-resolution graphics including lighting enhancements, an enriched color palette and improved character models," Rockstar Games wrote on its blog.

To celebrate the release, Rockstar Games is holding a limited-edition gear giveaway until Jan. 13, 2014.

"Enter now through end-of-day next Monday January 13th for the chance to win one of ten Deluxe San Andreas Prize Packs including coveted collectibles like the San Andreas Kubrick Box Set, Basketball, Playing Cards and Poker Chip Set, Black San Andreas Tee, White San Andreas Tee, Bandana and stickers," the game developer said.

Before even announcing the highly-anticipated PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games revamped one of the game's predecessors, which it considers "the biggest GTA of the PS2 era."  Will Grand Theft Auto V PC ever arrive?

Some have speculated that a PC version of the bestselling Grand theft Auto V will not be released until the game is released for Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One. Rockstar Games, however, does not appear to have made any notable progress on creating games for these new systems.

"Unfortunately, we have not released any information about that..." Rockstar Support said late December via Twitter in response to a gamer questioning the release of Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 or Xbox One.

Despite this delay, rumor still has it that Grand Theft Auto V PC will finally be released in March, 2014.

"Likewise, international Amazon staff told a number of customers that a PC version of GTA 5 will be released in March, 2014," reports Examiner.

Meanwhile, gamers can enjoy a miniature, enhanced and updated version of 2004's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
