Former NBA player Shaquille O'Neal recently appeared on "Inside the NBA" and admitted that he would probably only "last 45 seconds" if he were to compete against UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in mixed martial arts, according to Bleacher Report

O'Neal said that competing against Rousey would be all in "good fun" but Bleacher Report suggests that the Hall of Fame center might have a chance at lasting longer than Rousey's previous competitors.

According to Bleacher Report, Rousey's last competitor, Cat Zinging, only lasted 14 seconds in the ring with Rousey while Alexis Davis lasted for 16 seconds.

"Against Rousey, the size difference would be comical, and I truly don't know whether Rousey's technique would be enough to get the job done without tiring him out a bit first," Bleacher Report's featured columnist Hunter Homisterk writes. "A guess of 45 seconds seems entirely reasonable when we're talking about a man of Shaq's sheer size and strength."

Homisterk adds that O'Neal's chances of successfully competing against Rousey are high because he is already a trained MMA and Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter. O'Neal is 7'1" and weighs approximately 350 pounds.

Although it is unclear whether O'Neal will in fact compete against Rosuey, she supports his claim that he would only last 45 seconds in the ring with her.

When recently asked by TMZ to share her feelings toward O'Neal's comments, she replied, "If a chick can last past 45 seconds, I don't see why Shaq couldn't."

TMZ also asked Rousey to share her opinion on bulletproof cups that are being made and publicized for MMA fighters.

Naturally, Rousey appeared stunned by the question since no guns are used during fighting.

Rousey described the use of bulletproof cups as "extreme" but said that if MMA fighters feel the need to use the contraption, they should purchase it.
