A Detroit mother accused of killing two of her four children and then storing their bodies in a freezer had several dramatic outbursts in court on Thursday.

Mitchelle Blair, 35, was arrested on March 24 after officials discovered the bodies of her 13-year-old daughter, Stoni Blair, and 9-year-old son, Stephen Berry, in a deep freezer in her apartment. Police believe the children were murdered months apart in 2012 and 2013, reports The Detroit Free Press. As a result, Blair has been charged with murder, torture and child abuse. She is also scheduled to undergo a mental competency exam.

On Thursday she appeared at the Wayne County Circuit Court for a separate case to fight for the custody of her surviving 8-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter. The state, however, also wants to end the fathers' parental rights on the grounds that they rarely see their kids and owe thousands of dollars in child support.

While in court on Thursday, Blair yelled out that she killed her children, verbally attacked the fathers of her children for being deadbeat dads and had to be removed from the courtroom twice.

At one point during the court session, a videotape was played showing Blair's surviving son telling a social worker that he saw his mother kill his brother. In response, Blair yelled that he "didn't see me kill Stephen, 'cause it was unintentional."

The surviving son also revealed in the interview that he was whipped with a cord and that his 17-year-old sister was hit with a hammer. The siblings have been placed in the custody of a relative.

When the boy told the social worker that his now deceased sister, Stoni, raped him and put feces on his head, Blair yelled at one of the fathers of the children, saying "That's what your daughter did to my son," according to ABC affiliate WXYZ.

At another point, she yelled at one of the fathers for refusing to visit his children. Then, while she was being removed from the court, she then yelled out, "Everybody wants to know. Yes, I did kill her," referencing Stoni.

Testimony is the case was set to continue on Friday.
