“Legends of Tomorrow” will begin to air in 2016 and the Internet has been abuzz with fan speculations on what the plot could be about.

Thankfully, stars of the show, Caity Lotz and Ciara Renee were generous enough to reveal some key details about the upcoming series when they appeared on the Canadian TV Upfronts, as seen on the video posted on CTV.

Renee, who will play the role of Kendra Saunders, aka Hawkgirl, admits that her character is still “figuring out” about her powers. Hawkgirl was first introduced into the DC universe during the Season 1 finale of “The Flash,” but no detail was provided regarding the character or her origin.

"I think what we are, kind of, looking to do is to meld some of the storylines that Hawkgirl has had over the years together," Renee told DC All Access, as shown in a YouTube clip, during the upfront presentation of The CW a month ago. "So, it will be, kind of, interesting. It is like her origin, I guess."

"She is realizing that she has had past lives, which is a weird thing to process," she added. "So, I do not think she is a superhero just yet. But, she does have something interesting going on." Apparently, when "Legends of Tomorrow" starts, Hawkgirl is overwhelmed with anger, which "turns her into a warrior."

As seen in the “Legends of Tomorrow” trailer, the White Canary, whose real name is Sara Lance, was resurrected from the dead by being dipped into the infamous Lazarus Pit.

"It is going to have a toll,” Lotz said. “Sara has been dead for a long time. So, I feel like there is going to be a big shift. I am excited to see what happens because we want to make it different.”

Apparently, when Sara emerges from the Pit’s surface, there will be some “changes.” It might still be Sara Lance, but there will be some “repercussions of everything she has been through.”

Based on the source material, the White Canary is actually the archenemy of the Black Canary. Despite her skills in combat, she was one of the lesser known DC characters, primarily because she did not have a lot of appearances.

One of the things that Lotz is excited about is Sara's skill set, which happens to be "martial arts." "I have been training with double sticks a lot," she told TVLine, as shown in another YouTube video. "So, I am really hoping that it is going to be my weapon."

Having been resurrected by the Lazarus Pit could be the brand new start that Sara needs, especially since she has been dead for such a long time. However, it must be noted that the Pit does have some relatively negative and drastic side effects on a person’s mind, which could prompt the White Canary to sometimes lash out just like a villain would.
