Hope you're ready because 2013's hit Disney movie Frozen is coming to Broadway. Frozen seems to be following in the footsteps of The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, confirms Fortune magazine. This might just be the best news of 2014.

Walt Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger has announced that Frozen will be heading to Broadway. The film just won a Golden Globe and has grossed $669 million at the box office. And now the next step is in the works, Disney Theatrical Productions "has confirmed that 'Frozen' is in early development for the stage."

Frozen is a version of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen and features the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad and Santino Fontana. The Disney tale tells the story of a princess who goes on an adventure along with mountain man, his loyal pet reindeer, and magical talking snowman to find her estranged sister. Her sister's frosty powers have trapped an entire kingdom in the coldest way, a pure winter.

"We're not demanding speed, we're demanding excellence," Iger told Fortune. So there is no date as to when Frozen will began on Broadway but we do are excited to know that it is coming. We had The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, now your kids will have Frozen a theatrical masterpiece that they will remember forever.

Frozen has been the fourth animated film soundtrack to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The songs, including "Let it Go," "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" "Love is an Open Door" and "Fixer Upper," were written by Tony winner Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson Lopez.  Can't wait to hear the songs on the stage.

Well, here's another reason your kids are going to want to visit New York City. Good news is, you have time to prepare. Frozen will be released on DVD soon and that means that while you are waiting on Broadway, you get to watch the movie 30, 40, 50 times...a week.
