Lil Wayne stole the show during his KMEL annual Summer Jam performance at Oracle Arena in Oakland Saturday night.

Hip Hip Wired reports Wayne boastfully shared with already raucous fans, "I just signed a deal with my motherf**king idol Jay Z."

It's no secret Weezy and his longtime label Cash Money have been at odds in recent times over issues ranging from money and payment to the long-awaited release of his "Tha Carter V" album.

According to Gossip Cop, earlier this year Wayne actually sued Cash Money for $51 million, charging the label is costing him millions in earnings based on all their stall tactics. At the time, he also petitioned the court to legally release him from his deal with the label because of executives refusal to pay him for the as-yet-released album.

Wayne was also reported to be seeking joint copyright control of Young Money's musical catalogue, which features the works of such star performers as Drake and Nicki Minaj.

A deal with Jay's Roc Nation would put Weezy on the same lyrical team as fellow hip hop heavyweights Kanye West, Rihanna, Big Sean and Fabolous

Wayne and Jay have long been mutual fans of one another, with rumblings of a coupling going as far back as 2013. Back then, word spread Jay wanted Wayne on Roc-a-Fella's roster, but when Birdman got wind of it all he coaxed his then still prodigy into staying put by offering him his own label (Young Money).

Still, some are speculating Weezy could have only been referring to the deal he recently inked with Jay's new TIDAL venture. Just last week, Wayne dropped the new track "Glory" on the subscription platform, joining Beyonce, Minaj and Rihanna as artists who have used the service to stream new material.
