“Empire,” arguably the biggest TV phenomenon of 2015, is as critically praised as it is adored by its fans.

But there is at least one famous fellow out there who does not see what the big deal about the Terrence Howard-starring hip hop drama is all about. In a recent Instagram post, 39-year old Grammy Award-winning rapper 50 Cent wrote that "Empire" is not worth as much as "Power."

"'Empire' is some s**t you should get for free. Now that 'Power' is worth paying for, STARZ premium cable."

He was no doubt using his trash talking talents to promote his own show "Power," a technique of derision that resurfaced again as he spoke at a screening of the premiere for the new season of his series.

Vulture reports the rap star said that it was impossible to compare the two shows.

"Comparing the two is comparing two hit television shows at this point, but of course I’m first," he said, "I’m first, and my show is better. I’ll make Terrence Howard tell you I’m first and my show is better."

And he did not leave it at that. He also attacked the characters of "Empire."

"Ain’t nobody on Empire cast better than me …" emphasized the entertainer, who with dozens of acting roles to his credit, is no stranger to being on screen.

The actor and rapper has actually been bad mouthing "Empire" for a while now.

Reacting back in January about what 50 Cent had been saying about her show, Taraji P. Henson called the man “a comedian” who “loves to push buttons.”

“He’s a funny guy,” she explained to The Wrap, saying that she never took any offense and that in all likelihood the rapper had really been trying to take a jab at her co-star Howard out of some misplaced jealousy.

For his part, Howard good-naturedly added that: "50 is my monster man. We served jail time together in his film ['Get Rich or Die Tryin'], we were naked together. I love the fact that we’re both pushing the envelope with our shows."

"Empire" will be back for its second season Sept. 23 on Fox.
