While Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are now separating, the ex-couple are keeping things professional and reuniting for the upcoming season of "American Horror Story."

During an interview with Us Weekly, creator Ryan Murphy admitted that Roberts would be back in the season and will appear alongside Peters in the later episodes of Season 5, "AHS: Hotel."

He said, "She comes at the end, and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end. Emma's going to do a fun thing at the end with Evan. That's all I can say."

Murphy also gave some hints at the possible roles that Lady Gaga would headline in the season. He said, "The one thing that I wrote that I've never gotten over was in the first season of 'American Horror Story,' our second episode was about a home invasion. I really got freaked out, and I had to leave the editing room a couple times. I have other fears, but after that, I'm like, 'I'm never going to write about things that I'm freaked out about.'"

Murphy added that after exploring the terrifying aspects of asylums, witches and circuses, he wants to visit what really scares him.

He said, "I want to write about something I'm afraid of to see what happens. So Season 5 of 'Horror Story,' I'm back to that home invasion. I find it very hard, but I feel like maybe I'm working through s---. I've tackled my fears. I can't tell you what they are because then you'll get what it's about, but I went back to that, and I haven't had in a while."

"American Horror Story: Hotel" is one of the most anticipated shows in the fall TV schedule and one that is sure to crush ratings.

As for Roberts and Peters, both actors starred together in Seasons 3 and 4 of "AHS" and were reported to begin dating in 2012 before they got engaged in late 2013. They later appeared in the film "Adult World" before splitting due to conflicting schedules.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" will return to FX in October.
