Ariana Grande released an apology video to Youtube on Thursday, July 9 to apologize for her failed Twitter apology regarding her donut licking scandal, CNN reports.

On Wednesday July 7, TMZ released a surveillance video of Grande and her rumored new boyfriend Ricky Alvarez licking donuts inside of Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsnoire, California.

Grande and Alvarez did not purchase the licked donuts and left them on the counter for other customers to buy.

In addition to Grande's unsanitary behavior, she was also captured via the surveillance video raising her voice at the store's employees and saying she hates America.

After thousands of fans and critics caught wind of the video, Grande received a lot of backlash, which prompted her to post an apology via Twitter on Wednesday

In her initial apology, Grande insisted that she is "EXTREMELY proud to be an American" and then went on a rant about the dangers of childhood obesity in America.

CNN reports that Grande's Twitter apology still did not sit well with fans and critics who felt that the singer was not sincere and not addressing the topic of licking non-purchased donuts. Grande attempted to apologize again on Thursday via YouTube while recovering from her wisdom tooth extraction, Entertainment Weekly reports.

"I feel like in the apology I posted, I missed my opportunity to sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling because I was preaching about my issues with the food industry," Grande said in the video.

"Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly -- that you have no idea was taken -- is such a rude awakening, that you don't know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself."

This time, it seems that Grande's second apology is being accepted by her fans who have created the now trending twitter hashtag #weforgiveyouariana. Grande's half-brother Frankie also took part in the trending Twitter hashtag and sent his support for the 22-year-old singer, Us Weekly reports.
