International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion Kell Brook wants the undefeated Keith Thurman for his next fight in October, Brook's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed.

The proposed match, which is being planned by Brook's camp, will be a special fight as Thurman, who just crushed Luis Collazo after the seventh round of their fight in Florida, will also put his World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight title on the line.

"We talk all the time whether it's by text or on the phone. He watched Thurman's performance and he's always fancied the fight - it's not a case of he saw it and thought he was poor. It's just a fight he believes he can win... He believes he can beat everyone in the division. He has respect for Thurman and they've complimented each other in every interview but it's a fight that's inevitable down the road," Hearn told Sky Sports.

The promoter also mentioned that although they want a Brook vs. Khan fight to materialize, Khan is either busy chasing Floyd Mayweather Jr. or simply avoiding Brook.

"We wait and wait on Khan. Maybe if he doesn't get the Mayweather fight then it's an idea he'll start to entertain... I don't think Khan is interested in the Brook fight. He mentions every welterweight apart from Brook. Everybody seems to wants the fight apart from Amir," added Hearn.

Aside from Thurman, Hearn is also entertaining a clash between Brook and Timothy Bradley, who is set to be named as the new World Boxing Organization welterweight champion because Mayweather Jr. was stripped of the honor.

"There's nobody in the division I could ask him to fight and he wouldn't. I love the Timothy Bradley fight and it could be unification as well, so that's a fight we're also interested in," Hearn declared.

It will be a good idea for Brook to move on from Khan at the moment. Khan explicitly stated that he is only aiming for Mayweather Jr. or a bigger opponent than Brook.

"If I don't get the September fight I'd like to be back out again in November or December like normal. I'll be looking at those dates instead. But if I don't get the Mayweather fight there is still no chance whatsoever that I will fight Kell Brook before the end of the year. It will have to be a big one and I'll leave it to Al Haymon," Khan told Sport 360.

With his impressive record of 35 wins and no loss yet, "The Special One" may soon find himself busy tackling huge opponents, too, if everything works out for him. Perhaps, he will then be receiving offers from more formidable fighters than Khan, or from Khan himself.
