The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 remains to be one of the much awaited devices of this year. Much to the dismay of tech users, the company has managed to keep mum about its release date.

It's still unknown if the company will make a big announcement related to the device at the Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, which has already been slated for this week. However, a rep from the tech giant does have good news to share – though unrelated to the Surface Pro 4’s release date.

“Microsoft will increase the number of partners that can sell Surface from a couple hundred to a few thousands partners globally in the coming months,” an insider from Microsoft told Thurrot. “This expansion will ensure that the company can meet customers’ growing demand for the Surface family of products through its partners and create additional mobility opportunities for the channel.”

This may not be the news that Surface Pro 4 fans have been waiting for, but it is quite indicative that an actual, direct announcement will be coming soon.

After waiting for so long, gadget users started to come up with their own speculations regarding the Surface Pro 4’s launch. Pessimists started to claim that the device will only be available in the tech market by 2016.

Microsoft has not released any statement about Surface Pro 4, and all the reports that have been making the rounds on the Internet are only speculations from various forms of media, according to Win Beta. What Microsoft has announced recently is all about the Surface 3 (4G LTE) being available to France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States market soon.

But with the plans that Microsoft has in place for the Surface 3 and Surface Hub, it's possible that the company will move forward to provide a new device for its growing list of partners. After all, as Brian Hall of Microsoft said in a statement published on the Surface blog. “We couldn't be more excited about our Surface road map and opportunity to help people and businesses be more productive.”
